Seasonal Work: CAST is always looking for a volunteer or volunteers to assist caring for the lawn and yard at CAST, as well as snow removal at the CAST office.
Basic office skills required.
Volunteers are needed to help unload deliveries, sort and stock the food pantry, as well as packing food bags for distribution to clients. Volunteers are also needed to help pick up food donations throughout Southold Town.

Volunteers are needed to sort and organize donations as they are received, as well as to monitor the clothing room throughout the day to assist clients.
CAST holds several different fundraising events throughout the years. Assistance in all areas is needed to help make each fundraiser a success.
Direct Mail Coordination:
Help is needed in all aspects of direct mailing including preparing mailings, stuffing envelopes, affixing address labels and stamps, and sorting by zip code.
Holiday Toy Drive/Distribution:
Many volunteers are needed to pick up and sort toys and gifts for distribution during the holiday season. Volunteers are also needed on the distribution days to help set up and assist clients as they “shop” for gifts for their children. In addition, a coordinator is needed to help develop new collection sites and monitor donations made at these sites.
Create Your Own Fundraiser:
Many clubs, families, school children and organizations have their own fundraisers or collections of items to donate to CAST. Besides raising funds, some other ideas include: collecting health and beauty products, books and toys, hats, gloves and scarves, food drives, paper goods including paper towels and toilet paper, etc…
